Growing up in a small rural Michigan town.

We always played out side at my grandma's house. When we tired of tag we would lay on the ground and look up at the night sky. At that time all I knew was the big dipper and orian. But the sky was beautiful. Excitement was seeing a shooting star. When the moon was full we would make up stories about living on it. All too soon mom would show up and grab me and my brother for the walk home because the street lights had come on quite a while ago.
An asteroid or comet headed for Earth is the only large-scale natural disaster we can prevent. Working together to fund our Shoemaker NEO Grants for astronomers, we can help save the world.
