Karl Gebhardt is the Hobby-Eberly Telescope Dark Energy Experiment (HETDEX) Project Scientist and the Herman and Joan Suit Professor of Astrophysics at the University of Texas at Austin. His research interests include modeling the dynamics and evolution of elliptical galaxies, detecting black holes, studies of adaptive optics, the kinematics of galaxy clusters, and the dynamics of globular clusters.
