PIllars of Creation by HST
November 27, 2013
I've always been fascinated by space. I read every book I could get my hands on, and followed every space shuttle mission as much as possible in the pre-Internet era. With the launch of the Hubble Space Telescope, my interest was taken to an entirely new level as I was introduced to astrophotography. The famous image of the Pillars of Creation inside the Eagle Nebula motivated me to one day become and astrophotographer myself. Finally, this past year I fulfilled that dream and captured my own image of the Eagle Nebula (though far less impressive than the HST version).
An asteroid or comet headed for Earth is the only large-scale natural disaster we can prevent. Working together to fund our Shoemaker NEO Grants for astronomers, we can help save the world.
