Matt Lucking, our Regional Coordinator for the Bay Area Volunteers in northern California, shared a nice tribute to the Planetary Society — reminding us all how much the work we do matters:

At the Berkeley Wonderfest, a gentleman stopped by our table and told us how he had given his son a TPS membership as a gift. His son has just left for Brown University to pursue a career in planetary science, inspired, he said, by our organization and The Planetary Reports his son received as part of that membership.
