This beautiful HiRISE image and crude map shows the different kinds of rock units that Curiosity will encounter during her "Mission to Mount Sharp." As of sol 747 she was just about to reach the first of the Mount Sharp-related rock units, called the Murray Formation, at a site named Pahrump Hills.
