No Hangout This Week

Topics: podcasts and videos

Due to unusual travel circumstances, I won't be hosting a live hangout this week. I'm wrapping up my travel in Europe after co-hosting an event in Copenhagen, covering the European Geophysical Union conference, and generally not sleeping due to the 2014 budget release. Mat Kaplan and Bruce Betts are both at the Planetary Defense Conference in Arizona. No one has the kind of reliable internet access required to host a hangout, so we'll skip this week.

In the meantime, I recommend watching a previous interview with Gary Hug, who has just been awarded one of our Shoemaker grants to support his asteroid detection work.

Emily will be back next week, Thursday, at noon PDT/3pm EDT!

As consolation, watch Thursday press conference on the latest Kepler results! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GQVlDqOchSA
