This morning I was delighted to see that the Venus Express science team had released a massive pile of image data from their first orbit of the planet in mid-April. These are the images I saw during the Venus Exploration Analysis Group meeting that I was so excited about but was unable, then, to show you. Anyway, I've posted a news article containing the new Venus Express images, and also created a permanent home for them here. They had initially posted them in a variety of orientations so I rotated everything (but the animation) so that the Sun was at the left, which makes it a little easier to compare the different sets of images. Here's one of the six sets of images they released:
