I was just alerted to this tremendously cool image of the International Space Station transiting the Moon, as seen by amateur observer Ed Morana on February 13, 2006. I'm amazed by the level of detail of the shape of the ISS that's visible in this image, which is composed of eight exposures from a video camera taken as the Station moved from right to left. If you go to Morana's website you can download movies. I highly recommend downloading the Windows Media or MPEG versions rather than the GIFs, because they operate in real time, and it's amazing how fast the thing moves across the field of view. Blink and you'll miss it!
