I have been waiting for some sort of official announcement from JAXA but unfortunately I have to finish for the evening, and I've seen none yet. There continues to be news at Matsuura Shin's weblog, some of which sounds good. For instance, the weblog states that "two-way communication recovery" took place at 09:32 JST (00:32 UTC / 16:32 PST). A later entry indicates that a press conference may not be forthcoming until tomorrow.

Thanks for reading today -- let's send wishes of good luck toward Itokawa for a luckier sampling attempt within the next few days. I'll leave you with the most recent image that has been released from Itokawa.
