Daniel T. Geraci
Chairman of the Board of Directors, The Planetary Society
Dan Geraci joined the Planetary Society’s Board of
Directors in 2003. He is Chairman and CEO of ClubAchilles – The
Iron Age, a new luxury indoor golf club located in Palm Springs, California. Privately
controlled, ClubAchilles is a unique recreation industry concept.
Geraci brings to ClubAchilles his more than 25 years experience as a
senior executive in the investment and asset management industries. Most
recently he was President and CEO of Phoenix Investment Partners, and
Executive Vice President, Asset Management, for The Phoenix Companies. Before
joining Phoenix, he served as President and CEO of Pioneer Investment
Management USA, Inc. Prior to Pioneer, he served as an executive
at Fidelity Investments, Midland Walwyn Capital (later Merrill Lynch Canada),
and EFHutton & Company.
Over the years, Geraci has served on a number of trade industry boards
and civic committees in Toronto and across Canada, and in Boston, New
York City and Hartford, Connecticut. He is a member of the board
of directors of Junior Achievement of Northern New England, Junior Achievement
of Southern New England, and a supporter of Best Buddies International.
A lifelong space enthusiast, amateur astronomer and collector, Geraci
is a longtime member of The Planetary Society and has been a New Millennium
Committee member since 1995. He resides in Westwood, Massachusetts. |
